Agenda

  • Procedure for amending minutes of meetings
  • Posting guidelines for social media
  • Reporting procedures for faults/maintenance
  • Reporting procedures for internal/infrastructure projects
  • Guidelines for accepting/soliciting donations
  • Next working party
  • Open studio
  • Date of next meeting

Notes

  • Meeting minutes changes should only be made by consensus of the committee. The Talk pages should be used to do this and an agenda item will be added to review this at the next meeting
  • Post on social media replies for people wanting things should be positive and inclusive. For example invite someone in to see the space and see what can be done. Committee members are all responsible for this. There is no requirement to respond immediately and it does not always need to be the same person.
  • All faults and Maintenance should be be emailed to the committee. if something important i.e. laser, 3d printer, lathe, bandsaw then they should be reported on facebook to all members.
  • Infrastructure changes need to be notified and agreed by the steering committee before work commences. e.g. the work on the staging out the back. The co-ordinated plan mentioned on facebook is too far but work does need to be agreed and communicated.
  • No requests for equipment should be made without it being agreed by the operating committee. e.g. chairs. We also need to be more careful about accepting donations.
  • Open studio requires some work to get the space ready. painting, tidying and hanging boards. We should have members of the makerspace around to to show people around. We should also not use the internal staircase. 22-23rd and 29-30th June.
  • Making things to be sold commercially should contribute to the makerspace. 10% of the sale price has been used in the past.
  • 4th - 10th November may be "Ipswich Tech Festival" need to make sure we do something for this.
  • Craft group should be folded into the Makerspace as a craft night. this includes the meetup group and advertising this on the main makerspace facebook page.
