The Makerspace has a Mostly Printed CNC (MPCNC) built from this design

Hardware

The CNC is build from 3D printed parts, galvanised electrical conduit and 3D printer electronics. It has an LCD screen for low level control and an octoprint server for web control.

Different heads can be used on the CNC. Currently we have:

  • Router - 700w can take 1/4" and 6mm bits
  • Drag knife - for vinyl/paper cutting
  • Pen - for plotting
